Certifications & Compliance
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) is the highest grade of olive oil. It is produced from olives by mechanical means only, with no chemical refining. XRT Group sources EVOO for bottlers, private label brands, food manufacturers and foodservice distributors. Supply is coordinated through our Rotterdam and Houston hubs.
IOC Quality Standard
The International Olive Council (IOC) trade standard defines EVOO by chemistry and taste. Free acidity, expressed as oleic acid, must be 0.8% or less. Peroxide value must not exceed 20 meq O₂/kg. UV absorbance limits (K232 and K270) screen for oxidation and blending with refined oil. A trained sensory panel must find zero defects and a positive fruity attribute. Each lot can be tested by SGS or Bureau Veritas before shipment.
Bulk & Private Label Formats
Bulk EVOO ships in food-grade flexitanks inside 20-foot containers, ideal for bottlers who pack at destination. For brands without packing capacity, we arrange bottled private label supply in glass, PET or tin formats, with the buyer's own label artwork. Harvest year, origin blend and packaging are fixed in the contract.
Pricing & World Supply
EVOO prices follow harvest outcomes across the Mediterranean. The IOC estimates world olive oil production for 2024/25 at 3,572,000 tonnes, up 38%, with world consumption of about 3,215,000 tonnes, up 15%. Because prices move with each crop, quotes are issued on request against current market levels.
Contract Terms & Compliance
Bulk contracts can follow FOSFA terms, with sampling and analysis clauses agreed up front. Delivery is available FOB, CIF or DAP. All counterparties clear FATF-aligned AML and KYC screening, and letter of credit settlement under UCP 600 is available.
