Colombia's mountain growing regions produce some of the most sought-after specialty coffees in the world. XRT Group sources traceable regional blends and farm-level lots through its Medellín hub for specialty roasters and importers who buy on cup quality, not just on screen size.

Cup Quality

Lots are offered with a cupping score of 84 or higher on the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) protocol. Typical profiles: Huila for bright acidity and fruit, Nariño for high-altitude sweetness and complexity, Antioquia and Cauca for balance and body. Washed lots are the norm; honey and natural processes are available in smaller volumes.

Sampling

Offer samples and pre-shipment samples are sent for the buyer's own cupping before contract and before loading. Each lot also passes Almacafé export quality control.

Pricing

Specialty lots are priced per lot, usually as a fixed price or as a premium over the ICE Coffee "C" contract. Certified lots (organic, Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade) are available when the producer holds the certificate.

Packing & Documents

70 kg fique (natural-fibre) bags with hermetic liners recommended. Full farm or cooperative traceability, certificate of origin, ICA phytosanitary certificate, EUDR geolocation data for EU-bound lots and FDA Prior Notice support for US imports.
