Certifications & Compliance
Corn oil is extracted from the germ of the corn kernel, largely as a co-product of corn wet milling and dry milling. Once refined, bleached and deodorized (RBD), it becomes a clear, golden oil with a mild taste. XRT Group supplies refined corn oil to restaurant groups, foodservice distributors, snack makers and food manufacturers.
Product Profile
Corn oil is rich in polyunsaturated linoleic acid and low in saturated fat. Refining removes free fatty acids, waxes and odor compounds, giving an oil that performs well in fryers and holds a neutral flavor. Food-grade refined corn oil is supplied to the Codex standard for named vegetable oils (CXS 210).
Applications
Deep frying in restaurants and quick-service kitchens is the largest use. Corn oil is also used in snack chips, baked goods, margarine, salad dressings and mayonnaise. Its familiar flavor makes it a popular retail cooking oil in many import markets.
Formats & Logistics
Bulk corn oil ships in food-grade flexitanks and ISO tanks, with ocean tanker parcels for larger programs. Bottled formats can be arranged for distributors and retail buyers. Supply is coordinated from our Houston and Rotterdam hubs on FOB, CFR or CIF terms.
Quality, Pricing & Terms
Contract specifications usually cover free fatty acids, peroxide value, color, moisture and flavor. Intertek or SGS tests each lot before shipment. Corn oil has no dedicated futures contract, so prices are market-indexed against current vegetable oil values and quoted on request. Contracts can follow FOSFA terms. All counterparties pass FATF-aligned AML and KYC screening, and letter of credit settlement under UCP 600 is available.
