Certifications & Compliance
Automotive gasoline is the finished motor fuel sold at retail forecourts, fleet depots and cardlock sites. XRT Group procures regular, mid-grade and premium gasoline for station networks, fuel distributors and bulk terminal operators. Supply is coordinated from our Houston and Rotterdam hubs, covering US Gulf Coast refining and the ARA (Amsterdam–Rotterdam–Antwerp) blending market.
Grades & Octane
In the United States, pump octane is shown as the Anti-Knock Index (AKI), the average of Research and Motor octane, or (R+M)/2. Regular is typically 87 AKI, mid-grade 89 AKI, and premium 91–93 AKI depending on the market. European gasoline is graded by Research Octane Number (RON). Euro-grade unleaded is RON 95 minimum, with RON 98 super grades also traded.
Specifications
US product is supplied to ASTM D4814, which sets volatility classes that change by season and region. European product is supplied to EN 228, which caps sulfur at 10 mg/kg and allows ethanol blends up to E10. Buyers can also source blendstocks such as RBOB and CBOB for terminal ethanol blending. Each parcel is tested by Intertek or SGS for octane, vapor pressure, distillation and sulfur before release.
Pricing & Volumes
Waterborne cargoes are priced against Platts assessments for the relevant loading region. Truck and rack supply is referenced to OPIS rack prices. Premiums, discounts and minimum lifts depend on grade, season and delivery point, so every quote is issued on request.
Logistics & Compliance
Delivery options include FOB at the refinery or terminal, CIF to import terminals, and DAP to customer tankage. Every counterparty passes FATF-aligned AML and KYC screening before contracting. Settlement by letter of credit under UCP 600 is available through our Structured Trade Finance desk.
